Service Description
Yoga for Healthy Aging – Winfield Move with less stiffness. Feel more confident in your body. If your hips or shoulders feel tight, your back gets achy, or things don’t move like they used to—this is where we start. Our bodies change as we age. You may notice more stiffness, less balance, or discomfort in places that never used to bother you. This isn’t a sign that your body is “breaking down.” More often, it’s the result of how your joints and muscles have adapted over time. In this Healthy Aging Workshop, you’ll learn how your major joints work together to support balance, mobility, and ease of movement. Through granular movement, breath and stillness, we’ll explore common holding and compensation patterns — such as carrying tension in the shoulders or gripping in the hips — that can contribute to pain and instability. This class series focuses on building your coordination through awareness and adaptability, rather than relying on brute force to achieve a movement. This is where the magic happens! You may notice you can walk longer because your lower back doesn’t hurt, or when you work out, only the muscles you intended to work are sore. You’ll leave with: • A clearer understanding of why your body feels stiff or off-balance • Simple tools to reduce tension and unnecessary strain • Improved confidence in how you move • Practical strategies you can use in daily life No prior yoga experience is necessary. This workshop is ideal for adults who want to move with less pain, better balance, and more confidence as their bodies change.

Registration All classes and series must be booked in advance. Space is limited and spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to hold your spot. Unpaid spots are not reserved. Cancellations & Refunds All sales are final. If you need to cancel before the series begins, you may request a credit toward a future offering. No refunds or credits once the series has started. Missed Classes Missed sessions are not refunded or credited. Please plan accordingly when registering. Transfers If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person with advance notice. Schedule Changes In the event a class needs to be canceled or rescheduled, a make-up session or credit will be provided.
