ABOUT
Move Better. Reduce Pain. Stay Active.
Yoga therapy and mobility training for adults
who want to keep doing the things they love.
I’m Nicole Thayer—a yoga teacher and yoga therapist dedicated to helping people move with greater ease, reduce pain, and feel more confident in their bodies.
My work focuses on helping active adults improve mobility, retrain movement patterns, and reconnect with their bodies through therapeutic yoga and mindful movement.
My yoga journey began in 2013 with my first training through YogaFit, and in 2020, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher certification. In February 2026, I completed the technical training required for yoga therapy certification through an IAYT-accredited program. This experience deepened my understanding of how movement, awareness, and nervous system regulation can support the body’s ability to heal and adapt.
I’ve always had a curious mind and a love of learning. My academic background includes an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Psychology. That path taught me a lot, but it also helped me realize it wasn’t the direction I wanted to pursue long-term. Teaching yoga felt different—it offered a way to keep learning while supporting people in a meaningful, practical way.
My classes and sessions are designed as a gentle invitation to slow down and listen to the body. Together, we explore how movement patterns and habits influence pain and tension, and we use simple, practical tools to help restore mobility and ease in everyday life.
This work is personal for me. I was raised by a hardworking single mother who lived with chronic pain, which shaped my desire to understand the body more deeply. When similar symptoms began to appear in my own life around age 30, yoga became a powerful pathway for healing and self-understanding.
Today, I help others rediscover what it feels like to move with less pain, greater freedom, and renewed confidence in their bodies.
If you're curious about how therapeutic yoga might support your body, I’d be honored to work with you.
