Healthy Aging | Small Group Weekly Class
Twice-weekly therapeutic movement sessions for active adults
Service Description
You stretch your hips. Roll your shoulders. Stay active. Things may feel better for a little while, then the tension returns. Many of us assume stiffness, discomfort, or feeling less steady are simply part of getting older. Often, our bodies are adapting in ways we don't fully understand, and stretching or exercising harder doesn't always address the underlying patterns. Yoga for Healthy Aging offers a different approach. This small-group online program combines therapeutic movement, breath awareness, and rest to help you better understand how your body moves and discover new possibilities for moving with greater ease and confidence. This program may be a good fit if you: • Feel stiff, tight, or less comfortable moving than you used to • Want to improve balance, coordination, or mobility • Stay active but feel like something is still missing • Appreciate a slower pace with individualized guidance • Want support from a knowledgeable teacher in a welcoming small-group setting Each class weaves together: • Gentle therapeutic movement • Breath awareness • Balance and coordination practices • Exploration of movement habits that may contribute to discomfort • Opportunities to slow down, rest, and notice what helps you feel more supported Rather than focusing on doing more, we focus on discovering what works best for your unique body. Program Details Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:15–10:30 AM CST Live on Zoom This program works especially well for retired adults and those with flexible morning schedules. Classes are intentionally kept small to allow for individualized suggestions, modifications, and ongoing support. Meet Your Teacher Hi, I'm Nicole Thayer, a yoga therapist and yoga teacher with more than a decade of teaching experience and advanced training through an accredited 800-hour yoga therapy program. My work focuses on helping adults better understand movement patterns that may contribute to stiffness, discomfort, balance challenges, or reduced mobility. I believe the body is a wonderful starting point for healing, and that understanding how our bodies adapt over time can help us move through life with greater ease and confidence. Investment $200/month Unlimited access to both weekly sessions
